How To: Use The New Kohls Collection

With the new Kohl's Collection Open for all, I decided that it would be a good idea to show you all how to use the clothing in a way that will enhance your personal style. Follow these 5 steps below and you should have no problem looking your best at all times

Step 1 - Use What's Given
Kohl's has three different brands in its store. So use all three when finding what to wear. You may have a favorite store but don't be scared to branch out and try new things.

Step 2 - Build On 1 Item
Don't just take your favorite items and put it together. Take one item and use the Starplaza search engine to build around it. Having multiple statement pieces will be too much for the ensemble. And building around an item makes it look much more put together

Step 3 - Explore All Possibilities
If you find something that looks good with the item you chose, don't just stop there. Keep looking for something better so you know you have the best combination possible. And try different styles when making an outfit. You may grow to like it.

Step 4 - Careful With Color
Colorful outfits are great for standing out. But be careful with the colors you pick. Don't let the colors you pick clash or overpower each other. That is one of the main mistakes people often make. And also be sure that the colors you pick compliment your skin tone and not wash you out.

Step 5 - Accessorise to Perfection
Accessories are your one way to change an item that 1000 other girls are currently wearing. You could all be wearing the same dress but with the right shoes and accessories, you can make it your own. Accessories on Stardoll are affordable and diverse. So make the best out of them.

So I hope these 5 steps helped you all in your Personal Style. The one rule that I always followed was to be yourself. I know that is a rule you hear everyday and it sounds corny but it is used that much for a reason. Wear what you want to wear. KHOL'S IS FINALLY HERE!

Finally Khol's Has Arrived !Yes its finally here! And its for EVERYONE!! SS AND NON-SS! Stardoll has finally done something right!

I have pics of most of the Khol's items above. But look for yourself. I rushed to the blog to get this infor out for you. Candies and Abby Dawn have made a triumphant return to Stardoll with a new, well know brand. Mudd has been introduced to Stardoll. I love all three because of their differences. They each show a different style so any girl can get what they want.

So whats your favorite? Mine is the Black and white tube dress and the Candie's white shirt. But the mudd scarves are great too. They are more expensive than khols last time, but the quality of the clothes seems better. So I'm okay with that. There are still countless affordable items here. Tell me what you think in the chat!

Hot or Not

I decided to give you guys a new post to look forward to called Hot or Not. I will be discussing what things are Hot at the moment. And what things we should forget about. Some are very random and others are about Stardoll, Fashion and trends. I keep them very random because I want to get different kinds of people interested. I will often release two of these at a time, but since we are just starting, I am releasing 6. I know that many will not agree with what I say but this is what I think and many others think so please respect our opinions. There are different categories so some of the "Nots" were just chosen because their opponent was Hotter. I will discuss the reasoning for each below.
The hottest RealBrand right now is Khol's. I know that it wasn't released yet but the spoilers speak for themselves. Each item looks like one of the old hotbuys. The old hotbuys showed Stardoll at its best and its great to see them getting back to that. Stuff by Hilary Duff is kind of dead on Stardoll. Nothing new has been released and the clothing is from about 6 fashion seasons ago and they look too youthful to appeal to a broad audience

Out of the upcoming teen Starlets, I chose Demi Lovato as the one who will make it far in the industry. I am a firm believer that one should stick to what they are good at and not push it too far and miss out on an opportunity. Selena Gomez is a good actress. But not a great singer. I have been experienced personally in the music industry and I can hear the synths over her voice very clearly. She is one of the examples that I see like Paris Hilton and Heidi Montag's singing. But Demi's voice is very raw and edgy. She has complete control over it which is impressive for a girl of her age
Healthy is in right now. Out of all of the major fast food chains, McDonalds is the healthiest and has great tasting food. A big Mac is about 500 calleries, while Jack in the box's burgers can go over 1000. Even ones that are smaller than the Big Mac. Jack in the box is good for that every so often, junk food pigout, after a breakup type food. (lol) But McDonalds offers healthier choices which gives them extra points in my book

Liquid liner is futuristic, edgy, and can help create a look all your own. It is the must have makeup item, not only for the season, but for this entire generation. Honestly, leave lip liner for the senior citizens. Just stay away from that stuff. People start using it to match their lipstick and create bigger looking lips. But others get ahead of themselves and use darker lip liner than their lipstick. TACKY! Just stay away.. Trust me.

Sometimes you must go through pain for beauty. 6 inch heels are the perfect example. They look fabulous, but hurt like hell until you get used to it. If your new to heels, start at like 3 inches. Get used to it and move up. Thats how I can wear 6 inch heels and run a marathon in them now. Wedges are out. I know they are a summer item but in fashion they are out for now. Don't throw away your wedges yet. Just keep them in your closet for next year.

I personally think these talent shows are dying. Hard work gets you to the top. Not reality television. I know Britney Spears and Beyonce were on those shows as children, but they both lost. And worked their way up. Dedication, Hard Work, and Talent get you to where you want to be; not Simon Cowell.

Hey everyone,

The latest hotbuy released in Starplaza is the new Hotbuys shoes. This is the best looking hotbuy of the entire month. It is also being given out for free. But this offer is only for Superstar members. I don't know if this was a glitch and its really supposed to be 10sd. Or if they are giving out superstar gifts again like they used to. Whatever the reason, I was excited when I found them being given out for free. This almost makes up for how lazy Stardoll has been in the past week. If they would release Khols and Miss Sixty soon, than it would completely be made up for. Hopefully there are more clothes to come and we will not be left dissapointed

New Hotbuys Jumpsuit

After 6 days of Absolutely NOTHING on Stardoll, they have finally released a new item. The Hotbuys Jumpsuit from H&M is the newest item released from Starplaxa. It isn't my favorite hotbuy but it is stylish. I bought this on the spot because I was just happy there was one new item. But it's an okay hotbuy. With the right accessories, it can make a cute outfit. I accessorised the Jumpsuit as you can see to the right. I love the print of this jumpsuit, but the cut seems a bit unflattering to the body. Because it is a hotbuy, I would advise to buy this item. But I'm not sure how much I'll actually use this

But this has to be said. Stardoll has been really lazy lately and the staff needs to get off of their asses and do something before the users say "bye bye"

In this who wore it best post, we have two very stylish girls rocking one of Elle's best new items. They are both wearing the Elle Pink Blazer Jackey and are wearing them in two different ways. Pamiiiiiiiii (Left) shines in a Rio Glitter top with a sequins belt from DKNY. Her look shows true glamour while having that futuistic edge that we all crave. While lexy9333 (Right) goes stylish with the beloved HB Uggs from Pretty in Pink. So I ask you, Who wore it best?

How To: Get The Most Out Of Your Stardollars

My lucky number 7 steps to getting all that you need from a limited amount of Stardollars

Since New DKNY, LE, Vivienne Tam, Philosophy, and Elle Collections have come out and another collection, Miss Sixty, is set to come out, we have all been completely out of cash. I know first hand that it has been hard to get all that I want on the limited Stardollars that I have. So I have developed 7 steps that will keep your wardrobe AND your wallet happy at the same time.

Buy Essentials First .

Essential Items are those items that every girl needs in their wardrobes. These are the items that you use over and over again. I have created outfits using most of the essential items that every girl on Stardoll needs. Once you have these, you can make countless outfits and never have to make a run to the store to get something you need. This is where you mix the Statement Pieces and create a balance that is undeniably beautiful.

Re-use! Re-use! Re-use!

Many cannot find too many different ways to use an item and keep going for the obvious. But each piece that you buy has countless uses. It is simply up to you to find them. So as you can see in the picture above, I experimented with Fallen Angel's Smoking Vest and created three very different looks and used the vest in three different ways. You can dress it up or down, and girly or edgy. The way you put together the outfit shows your personal style completely. You don't have to buy so many things if you can discover new ways to use your old ones.

Creativity is Key .

Experimenting with clothes can lead to great finds. A top may not just be able to work as a top. You may be able to turn it into a dress or skirt. I took three pieces above and used them in new ways. The center one that I made into a dress used to be a knee-length skirt. If yoy were making a work approporiate outfit, than it would be great. But I turned that skirt into a Victoria's Secret appropriate minidress. Look at all three pictures to see the type of ideas you should be looking for. If you can make a little black dress, than you may not need to buy a little black dress and end up saving some cash.

Splurge on Color .

When shopping, it is perfectly okay to splurge on items. But when you do, try to choose items that you will want to use over and over again. And also try to splurge on colorful items. because it is easy to find affordable black and white items. Items with color make a statement. And that is the kind of item you should be spending your money on. In the three outfits above, I splurged on one colorful item each. I then completed the outfit with affordable black and white items. The black and white items are all 5sd and lower. This shows that you don't need 6 designer items per outfit. You can work with less.

Take Advantage of Accessories

Accessories can make an outfit. They can turn a boring ensemble into something that any stylish fashionista would be wearing. Accessories are affordable, reuseable, and can go from one style to another. So feel free to buy all of your favorite accessories because you will be sure to use it over and over again. In the three outfits above, I used simple clothing but dressed them up in accessories. Accessories can make a dress look completely different from the way it looked when you bought it.

Stay Away from Seasonal Trends .

Certain trends may be wearable during the season, but would look foolish during any other time of the year. Spend money on items that look good in your current season, but can be pulled apart and used in outfits that could compliment a different season. It is all about the way you put together an outfit. You can look stylish in any season when you buy items that can transcend from one time to another. Above is two different outfits. The Left shows exactly what to avoid, while the Right shows exactly what you should be looking for. Follow these rules and you should be Golden.

Layer Old For New .

Take a good look into your wardrobe and and find those old items that you don't like anymore. Don't write those off yet. Layering is a great tool to give an old item a brand new look. Layer different colors and create an outfit that it perfect for the season. Solid Tee Shirts work great for this. Especially when they have different cuts and necklines. You can put different colors together and really show your style. Different prints can work as well. But make sure that the prints aren't to different or the outfit will look all over the place.

So I hope that these 7 steps help you in the current cash slump that most seem to be in at the moment. With all of these Real Brands coming out, we are going to need a plan! And this one above is perfect. These steps can not only help you save money, but help you improve your style as well. It is a win-win situation so why not try this?

The Lady Gaga Dress and Bodysuit are on sale in the Tingeling store. If you are one of the countless uber-fans than you should head to that store now and pick yourself up a dress. Another highlight on the list is #10, the Tinseltown Belt. I chose this for a reason. It is high waisted, it can go with virtually any outfit, and it is on sale for 1sd. What else could you want in a belt?

September Hotbuys !!

Hotbuys or Notbuys .

Why should we have to wait until the official September Hotbuy list is released when we know what they are now? The august hotbuys list was recently released and they are great but I wanted to talk about next month's hotbuys.

Tie Dye Dress - To me, this dress is too much like the 80's dress just released. If Stardoll is going to release a hotbuy like a previous one, it must be much better than the last one. But the 80's dress was much better than this. 5/10

Bow Purse - This item is okay. There isn't much to say about this besides that if you wear this, you better have a lot of better items to make this purse look better because it is just plain to me right now. 6/10

Miami Print Shirt Dress - This is a very stylish piece. This has a lot of attitude and swagger. This is definitely one of the better items on the list. 8/10

Heeled Sandals - I actually like these shoes. They are stylish, unique and would look good in many different styles. They will be one of those hotbuys that you find yourself using over and over again. 8.5/10

Beret - Very European. Very High Fashion. Very Stylish. As much as I like this item, I don't think it should have necessarily have been a hotbuy. This seems like an item that would be released into starplaza like all of the other regular clothes. 7/10

Balmain Leggings - Thse are colorful, chic.. and TACKY. I understand that Stardoll wants to look high fashion but give us hotbuys that we could actually use in our outfits. These are couture and would work fairly well in a high fashion setting but not easily in the outfits we make on Stardoll. 6.5/10

Chloe Inspired Top - One of my favorites on the list. Very stylish yet simple. The print is very fashionable and I love how the shirt fits your medoll. One of the best. 9/10

Scarf - I don't really like this item. Enough Said. 5.5/10

Dot Print Skating Dress - The best item on the list. This is a dress for all of those girls who missed out on first season LE. Because this is definately a representation of that line. Absolutely amazing. 10/10

Hair - I couldn't find the 10th Hotbuy so the only thing I can think of is the hair. But I know that its more likely that Stardoll would release a new item but it would be cool if they released the hair as another one. I love that style. ??/10

August Hotbuys

Wow.. I haven't written a post, in SO long. Im really sorry about that also, im trying really hard to get on here as much as I can! And hopefully.. i'll start to get more time!

So there are the august hotbuys! You all probably already seen them, in the stardoll magazine. But i just wanted to know what everyone thought about them. I accually really like these hotbuys. There's a couple things I don't like, like.. the black skirt. Theres already been a skirt like that.. so its kind of old. I don't like the cupcake purse either. There's already been a cupcake purse, which wasn't superstar not long ago. I also don't like those knee high socks, i just dont. But there rest i like :) I didn't think i'd like the shorts, but they might look good with certain shirts. Not sure yet. ;)

The latest hotbuy released by Starplaza is the new Hotbuys Sandals. These are very stylish but what beats the style is the price. 4 STARDOLLARS !! That is extremely cheap for a hotbuys item, especially shoes. 2 months ago, Stardoll would have released an item like this for 7 or 8sd. I am glad that prices have been a bit lower lately. These sandals are very stylish and High Fashion. You can dress them girly, or do what I did and dress them futuristic. Whatever the style, I'm sure it'll look great. This is a great buy that you guys should take advantage of while you have the chance. I will be back with all of the latest stardoll news.

I know that these wands seem pointless but I am actually a big fan of them. They remind me of Victoria's Secret and how you can make a look into a complete fantasy. Show your complete sex appeal by using these wands to have some fun with your style. Don't be afraid to be different and try something new. I put together a look for each wand and I think they turned out great. Remember that this is a fantasy so Its not like I would go out in the streets looking like this. But why not have some fun? With so many new clothes in Starplaza, I decided to help show how you can use the new clothes (Elle Especially) To your advantage. In these steps, you can learn how to enhance your style and show your creativity.

Step 1: Try to limit yourself to one Elle item. Especially if you're using a certain clothing item. With accessories its okay to use more than 1 but try to limit yourself. By doing this, you can find more creative outfits that other girls haven't tried yet.

Step 2: Have an open mind. Even if there's something you don't think would look good, try it anyway. You may be surprised

Step 3: Find a Statement piece. Find an item that makes a statement and helps you stand out. You only need one of these and you work around that item.

Step 4: Use the Starplaza Search Engine. Starplaza is a good place to practice and put things together; especially with new items. Have an idea of what you want and search around for it. It'll help make the perfect outfit

Step 5: Don't be afraid to accessorise. Thousands of girls on Stardoll could be wearing the same dress. But you'll stand out because of how you accessorise. Its the perfect way to take a popular item and make it your own.
